How to Manage Your Pipeline
Move deals through stages, and see exactly how long each one sat where.
The Sales Pipeline is where you see every open deal at once. This guide walks through the board from top to bottom: finding your way around, adding and moving deals, closing them as won or lost, and reading the history each deal keeps.

- Open the Sales PipelineThe page is titled Sales Pipeline. Every deal is a card in the column for its current stage. Each column header shows the stage name, how many deals sit in it and their total value, and its win probability when that is above zero (for example, a Won column sits at 100%). A board and list toggle sits at the right of the filter row: use the board to see stages side by side, or the list when you want the same deals as rows.
- Pick the pipeline you wantIf your workspace has more than one pipeline, a pipeline selector appears beside the filters, and each pipeline has its own stages. Admins also see a + New Pipeline button next to the + New Deal button. If you only have one pipeline there is no selector to look for.
- Find a deal fastType in the Find a deal box to narrow the board by deal name, company or owner. The Owner, Source and Priority dropdowns narrow it further, and a Tag dropdown appears once your workspace has tags. When any filter or search is active a Clear button appears: it resets every filter and the search box in one click.
- Add a dealChoose + New Deal at the top right, fill in the form and save. The new deal appears as a card in the stage you chose.
- Drag a deal to move its stagePress on a card, move it a short distance and drop it on another column. A tiny movement does not start a drag, so a normal click still opens the deal. If the move cannot be saved, the card goes back to where it was and a message names the deal and the stage it could not reach. Some roles cannot move deals into certain stages; those columns say so when you hover over them.
- Mark a deal Lost with a reasonDropping a card on a Lost stage opens a Mark as Lost window instead of moving it straight away. Choose a reason, add details (at least 10 characters) and confirm. The reason stays on the deal, so you can see later why it did not close.
- Mark a deal Won from the cardRight-click a card to open its quick actions. Mark Won appears there when your pipeline has a Won stage, and a short message confirms the deal was marked Won.
- Move it from the deal itselfOpen any deal and use its stage stepper, a row of numbered stages with the current one highlighted. Click a stage to move the deal there, and the board shows the same change. Closed Lost is never offered in the stepper: Mark Lost stays a separate action in the deal's Actions row.
- Read the stage historyEvery move, whether from a drag, the stepper or the edit form, is saved through one path that writes the history, so each deal keeps a timestamped record of its stage changes. Use it to see exactly how long a deal sat in each stage before it moved.
A few things worth knowing
The stage names, their order and their win probabilities belong to your workspace, so your columns may be named differently from the examples here. What you can see and move also depends on your role and on which pipelines you have access to. If you cannot see any pipeline, ask your admin to grant pipeline access in Settings.
