How to Set Your Notification Preferences

Choose which alerts your CRM sends you, pause the noise outside your working hours and decide which of your devices get push.

Your CRM tells you when something needs you, such as a task assigned to you or a deal that moved. The Notifications page in Settings lets each person decide which of those they want. It has three tabs, Mine, Tenant and Devices. This guide walks through each of them.

In this article
  1. Open Notifications
Open Settings and choose Notifications. The page is titled Notifications, and it opens on the Mine tab.
  2. Switch events on or off
The Mine tab says, Choose which in-app notifications you receive, shown in the bell, and that changes apply to your account only. Below it is a list of events, each with a switch and a one-line description. For example, Task assigned to me is for when a teammate assigns you a task, Deal won is for when your deal is marked Won, and Team member joined is for when someone you invited joins your workspace. Switch an event off to stop getting it, or on to get it. A few events are marked for admins only.
  3. Set quiet hours
Under Quiet hours, set a From time and a To time, and choose your Timezone. A search box above the timezone list helps you find yours. The page explains that quiet hours apply to every event above: in-app notifications still arrive, while other channels pause during this window.
  4. Save or reset
Choose Save changes. It stays off until you have changed something, reads Saving while it works, and then a Saved mark appears. If it cannot be saved, the page says that it could not save your preferences and asks you to try again. Choose Reset to defaults if you want to go back to the starting choices.
  5. Turn push on for this browser
Open the Devices tab. The card called This device tells you whether push notifications are on or off for this browser. Use the switch called Push on this device to turn it on. Your browser then asks whether it may show notifications; if you refuse, the page says that browser notification permission was not granted. Switch it off the same way.
  6. Revoke another device
Under Other devices, the page lists your other devices. Each one shows the kind of device and the end of its address, and either the date it was last used or Never used. Choose Revoke beside a device you no longer use. If you have none, the page says there are no other devices.
  7. Look at the Tenant tab
The Tenant tab is for the whole team. It says that it controls which events and channels are available to your whole team, and that it can only narrow what your plan already allows; it never grants a channel your plan does not sell. A table lists the events against the channels, with a switch in each cell, and a cell with nothing saved reads as on. What you can change there depends on your role.

A few things worth knowing

The Mine tab is yours alone. Switching an event off there changes only what you get, not what a teammate gets. The Tenant tab is the other way round: it sets what is available to everyone, and your own choices then work inside it.

Many of the events on this page come from work covered in other guides, such as creating and managing tasks and inviting a teammate. This guide covers the page and its choices. It does not describe the text of any alert or when exactly one arrives.
