How to Read the Reports Page

See how your pipeline is doing in one page: where deals stand, where leads come from and how the months compare.

The Reports page gathers your pipeline numbers into four cards. It is built from your own deals and leads, and it shows nothing it does not have. This guide walks through each card, the pipeline list and the PDF button.

In this article
  1. Open Reports
Choose Reports in the left menu. The page is titled Reports, with a line under it that reads Pipeline performance. If you see a message that you do not have access to reports yet, your role needs the View reports permission, and the message tells you to ask your workspace admin to grant it from Settings, under Roles.
  2. Read the Pipeline funnel
The first card is the Pipeline funnel. It draws one bar for each stage of your pipeline. Each bar carries the name of the stage, the number of deals in it and the total money in those deals, shown in your workspace's own currency.
  3. Switch pipeline
If your workspace has more than one pipeline, a Pipeline list appears at the top of the page. Choose the pipeline you want to read. Until you choose, the funnel shows your default pipeline, and the list shows which one it is reading. To build or change a pipeline, see the guide on creating and editing a pipeline.
  4. Read the lead source chart
The second card is a donut chart with a legend. It splits your leads by source, and each source is named the way your workspace names it. A source your team renamed shows under its new name. The sources come from a list your workspace keeps; the guide on editing picklist values shows how a workspace changes such lists.
  5. Read the product category chart
The third card is another donut, split by the product category on your deals. It groups the values your team typed in, exactly as written.
  6. Read the Conversion trend
The last card runs across the whole width of the page. It shows your months as bars, so you can see how one month compares with the next. It needs at least six months of deal history before it has a trend to draw.
  7. Export PDF
Choose Export PDF at the top right. The page opens your browser's print window, where you can print it or save it as a PDF.
  8. Read an empty card
When a card has nothing to show, it says so and tells you what will make it appear. The funnel card says No pipeline data yet and waits for deals to move through your stages. The lead source card says No lead-source data yet and waits for leads that are tagged by source. The product category card says No product-category data yet and waits for deals tagged with a product category. The trend card says No conversion history yet.

A few things worth knowing

Every number on this page comes from your own data. The page is written so that an empty card stays empty rather than showing an invented figure. If a card is empty on your first day, that is the page telling you the truth, not a fault.

The page has a few more controls that this guide does not cover, including an Assistant button. What you can see depends on your role, and a person without the permission to view reports sees the access message instead of the cards.
